StoreWALL Bins

StoreWALL wall-mounted bins solve the small-item problem that hooks and shelves cannot. Nuts, bolts, drill bits, cable ties, batteries, screws, sprinkler fittings, seed packets, chalk, small spare parts — these items are too small to hang from a hook and too easily lost if placed loose on a shelf. A wall-mounted bin keeps them contained, visible, and exactly where you expect them.

The StoreWALL bin range is manufactured from high-impact plastic, open-fronted for instant visibility and one-hand access, and available in three sizes and four colours. Bins mount directly to StoreWALL slatwall panels and can be repositioned on the panel grid without tools.

Bin Range

Small Bins

The small bin is the most versatile size in the range and the most commonly purchased for workshop and garage use. The open front and modest depth make contents immediately visible without opening or tilting the bin. Small bins are most effective when grouped together in rows or columns, creating a labelled parts-storage wall similar to a professional workshop.

Typical uses: screws, bolts, nuts, washers, cable ties, zip ties, batteries (AA/AAA/9V), drill bits, small drill accessories, fuses, small cable connectors, garden seeds, small spare parts.

Large Bins

The large bin provides significantly more volume than the small bin and suits items that are individually larger or where quantities are higher. Like the small bin, the open-front design allows instant visual access without removing the bin from the wall.

Typical uses: spray cans, lubricant tins, paint brush sets, rolled sandpaper, garden gloves, small hand tools, electrical tape rolls, extension cord accessories, light globes, batteries (D/C/9V multi-pack).

Cube Bins

The cube bin offers a square profile that suits a different class of item — items that are roughly cubic in shape or that stack well within a square container. Cube bins are popular in home gym installations for chalk, bands, wraps, and small accessories, and in workshops for grouped fasteners or electrical components.

Typical uses: gym chalk, resistance bands, wrist wraps, small tools stored as a set, electrical components, grouped fasteners by type.

Colour Options

StoreWALL bins are available in four colours:

  • White — neutral, suits all panel colours, maximises visibility of contents
  • Black — suits Graphite Steel and Black panel colours, creates a clean monochrome aesthetic
  • Clear – semi transparent, suits all panel combinations.
  • Crystal Clear — fully transparent, contents are visible from the front and sides without a label; particularly useful for small parts storage where quick identification is critical

Clear is the most popular colour choice for workshop and parts-storage applications because it eliminates the need to label every bin to identify contents.

Where StoreWALL Bins Work Best

Bins are not just for garages. The open-front wall-mount design works in any room where small items need to be organised and accessible:

  • Garage workshop: fasteners, drill bits, small parts storage — a row of labelled small bins replaces a drawer unit and puts everything at eye level
  • Home gym: chalk, bands, wraps, ear buds, small accessories
  • Laundry: stain removers, clothespins, washing tabs, small cleaning supplies
  • Pantry: spice packets, tea bags, coffee pods, small dry goods
  • Kids’ playroom: Lego, small figurines, craft supplies, pencils
  • Home office: stationery, cables, adapters, chargers, small tech accessories
  • Workshops: small tools, tape, cloths, everything else.

Organising a Workshop with Bins: A Practical Approach

The most effective workshop bin installations follow a zone-based organisation approach:

  • Fastener zone: one column of small bins, one size per bin — M3, M4, M5, M6 screws; matching nuts and washers. Crystal Clear bins make size identification instant.
  • Consumables zone: large bins for sandpaper grades, masking tape, cutting discs, grinding wheels
  • Electrical zone: small bins for fuses, terminal blocks, heat shrink, cable ties, wire connectors
  • Battery station: dedicated bins by battery type — AA, AAA, 9V, CR2032 — so you always know where fresh batteries are

Labelling bins (even Crystal Clear ones) with a label maker or printed card inserts creates a reference system that survives reorganisation — you always know what goes where, even after tidying up in a hurry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can bins be removed from the wall panel easily?

Yes. Bins are designed for quick removal from the panel — lift and tilt forward to disengage from the groove. This allows bins to be taken to a workbench for use, emptied, or cleaned, then replaced on the panel.

Are StoreWALL bins compatible with other slatwall brands?

StoreWALL bins use a standard slatwall lip mount rather than the CamLok™ rotary lock used on hooks, shelves, and brackets. This means bins are physically compatible with standard 76mm on-centre slatwall panels from other brands. However, they are designed and tested for use with StoreWALL panels and are sold as part of the StoreWALL system.

What is the maximum weight a bin can hold?

The bin material is rated for substantial loads relative to their size. For small bins loaded with metal fasteners (a dense, heavy load), the practical limit is the comfortable weight you can handle when removing the bin from the wall. The panel and mounting system are not typically the limiting factor for bin loads given the relatively small volume of each bin.

Can I use bins in a laundry or pantry, not just a garage?

Yes. The high-impact plastic construction is suitable for any dry indoor environment. Bins are popular in laundries for cleaning supplies, in pantries for packaged goods, and in home offices for stationery and accessories. The white and crystal clear options suit non-garage environments particularly well.

Are bins sold individually or in packs?

Check the StoreWALL store for current pack configurations. Small bins are typically available in multi-packs given that most workshop installations require 10+ bins in the same size. Large and cube bins are more commonly sold individually.
