Hooks are the most versatile accessory in the StoreWALL system. With 24 different hook types, there is a specific hook engineered for virtually every item in a typical Australian garage — from a single cordless drill to a full-size extension ladder, from a fishing rod to a surfboard.
Every StoreWALL hook is manufactured from heavy-duty powder-coated steel with a rubber tip to protect stored items from marking or scratching. Every hook includes the exclusive CamLok™ locking mechanism as standard, which mechanically locks the hook to the panel and prevents accidental dislodgement under load. No StoreWALL hook relies on friction alone.
Hooks can be repositioned anywhere on your StoreWALL panel grid without tools — release the CamLok, slide to the new position, lock. Your storage layout can evolve as your needs change without any drilling or hardware.
Hook Range by Category
General Purpose Hooks
The foundation of most StoreWALL builds. General purpose hooks cover the broadest range of everyday garage items and are the starting point for most first-time buyers.
- Single Hook — the most versatile hook in the range. Suits extension cords, garden hoses, rope, straps, bags with handles, and any item with a natural loop or hang point. Available in multiple lengths.
- Double Hook — two prongs at the same height. Ideal for items that benefit from two-point support: rakes, shovels, brooms, pitchforks, and long-handled garden tools.
- Disc Hook — features a solid disc at the end of the hook to prevent items sliding off. Maximum recommended weight 45kg. Suits backpacks, duffel bags, coats, helmets, and heavier bags that would otherwise slip off a standard hook end.
- J-Hook — deep J-profile, suits hoses and coiled items that need a wider hook opening to seat properly. Ideal for holding a bike in a perpendicular position.
Heavy Duty & Utility Hooks
For heavier items where hook rigidity and reach are critical. All constructed from heavier-gauge steel than the general purpose range.
- Heavy Duty Utility Hook — 228mm reach from the wall. Rubber-coated to prevent scratching. Raised front lip requires the item to be lifted before removal, which prevents accidental dislodgement. Suits extension ladders, large tools, and heavy equipment. ~$45.
- Heavy Duty Tool Hook — designed specifically for multiple heavy gardening tools stored together. Wide profile accommodates several tools side by side to conserve wall space.
- Vertical Tool Hook — wide circular opening designed for the bulky motor heads of outdoor power tools. Suits leaf blowers, string trimmers, edgers, and chainsaws that won’t fit on a standard hook.
- 300mm Power Tool Bracket — dual-prong bracket extending 300mm from the wall. Supports heavier items both vertically and horizontally. Use two brackets to hang long items like extension ladders horizontally along the wall.
Bike & Sports Hooks
Purpose-built for bike storage and sports equipment, where the weight, geometry, and value of the item demand a dedicated solution.
- Bike Hook (J Hook) — designed to hold the bike perpendicular to the wall. Ideal for single garages with 1 bike to store.
- Rotating Bike Hook — stores the bike perpendicular to the wall with the ability to rotate the front tyre and swivel the bike so that it sits flat on the wall. This reduces the floor space taken up by the bike.
- Heavy Duty Universal Hook — ideal for hanging a bike by its front tyre flat against the wall.
- Steadyrack Brackets – designed to connect with the Steadyrack bike bracket allowing the system to fit to your slatwall panels.
- Cradle Hook — cradling prongs extending 140mm+. Distributes weight evenly across the stored item rather than concentrating stress at a single contact point. Suits step ladders, camping equipment, and smaller sporting equipment.
- Heavy Duty Cradle Hook — extended cradle design for heavier items. High weight capacity, suits full-size extension ladders, fold out tables, camping gear.
Specialist Hooks
Hooks engineered for specific items that standard hook profiles cannot accommodate securely.
- Bungee Hook (3 sizes) — features a rubber bungee cord that wraps around and secures flat items against the wall. Suits timber planks, surfboards, window panes, skis, and items that cannot hang from a hook point. Available in Small, Medium, and Large.
- Pole Hook — slightly angled, narrow profile designed to grip thin rods and poles without them sliding through. Suits fishing rods, curtain rods, golf club shafts, and similar items.
- Magnetic Bar (609mm) — strong permanent magnets mounted on a CamLok™-locking bar. Holds all metal hand tools (spanners, pliers, drill bits, hex keys, chisels, files) directly without individual hooks. Repositionable on the panel grid.
Power Tool Hooks
StoreWALL’s power tool hook range is purpose-engineered for cordless and corded tools, with profiles matched to specific tool geometries.
- Power Tool Hook — cup-style hook holds a single cordless drill, impact driver, or compact tool horizontally with the grip down for one-move access.
- Power Tool Storage Rack (450mm) — holds up to 4 drills or impact drivers on a single shelf unit. Best for a complete cordless tool set — all tools visible simultaneously. Note: lip installation, not CamLok™.
- Wire Shelf with Cord Holder (150mm or 300mm) — tool rests on the shelf surface with blade or plate facing down; cord hook below keeps the lead managed. Suits circular saws, jigsaws, sanders, and belt sanders.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use StoreWALL hooks on other brands of slatwall panels?
StoreWALL hooks with CamLok™ are engineered specifically for the StoreWALL groove geometry (76mm on-centre). The CamLok™ mechanism will not function correctly on other slatwall brands that do not use the 76mm gauge. If you have an existing non-StoreWALL slatwall installation, contact us to discuss compatibility options.
How do I know which hook length I need?
Hook length (reach from the wall) determines how far the stored item projects from the panel surface. For items stored close to the wall — tools, cords, bags — a 100–150mm reach is sufficient. For items that need clearance from the wall — ladders, bikes, kayak paddles — choose a hook with 200mm+ reach. When in doubt, size up.
What is the maximum weight a StoreWALL hook can hold?
Weight capacity depends on both the hook type and the panel and InstallStrip configuration it is mounted on. The panel system is typically the limiting factor, not the hook itself. As a reference point, the Disc Hook has a maximum recommended weight of 45kg when panels are installed with InstallStrips. For specific hook weight data, refer to individual product listings or contact StoreWALL.
Can hooks be used in a pantry or laundry, not just a garage?
Yes. StoreWALL panels and hooks are used in pantries, laundries, home offices, workshops, and garden sheds. The powder-coat finish and PVC panels are suitable for any dry indoor environment. For outdoor or coastal installations, contact StoreWALL for advice on corrosion management.
Do I need to buy CamLok separately?
No. CamLok™ is built into every StoreWALL hook, shelf, basket, bracket, and bin as standard. There is no version of a StoreWALL hook that does not include CamLok™.
