Can I buy StoreWALL on eBay or other marketplaces?

StoreWALL Australia is the exclusive distributor of StoreWALL wall panels and accessories.

Whilst 99% of our customers purchase via the www.storewall.com.au website, we also support customers purchasing via our eBay listing. So Yes, you will find StoreWALL on Ebay.com.au. Pricing may however vary due to fees and charges applied by eBay.

Do I need Installstrips and how many?

StoreWALL can be installed with and without Installstrips. Installstrips are galvanised metal brackets that are screwed to your wall and sit behind your StoreWALL panels. These brackets are used to hold your StoreWALL wall panels (so you don’t have to screw through them). They also provide much of the system’s strength.

Each Standard Duty Installstrip allows for 12 screws or nails to secure it to your wall. Each Heady Duty Installstrip allows for 16 screws or nails to secure it to your wall. The ability for your StoreWALL panel to carry our specified weight is based on the fact that:

  • our Installstrips are metal and several mm in thickness
  • they are secured with minimum of 12/16 screws or nails.

The chart below provides greater details regarding the weight specifications of our wall panels.

What types are available?

We sell two types of Installstrips, a Standard Duty Installstrip and a Heavy Duty Installstrip. If you are using Installstrips you will need to purchase the appropriate one based on the panels you have chosen.

How many do I need?

  • You will require 1 x Installstrip for each 1219mm panel you order. This applies to both Standard Duty and Heavy Duty. Our 1219mm cartons will usually contain 4 panels. You will therefore need 4. 1219mm panels are also sold as individual panels.
  • You will require 2 x Installstrips for each 2438mm panel you order. Our 2438mm cartons will usually contain 4 panels. You will therefore need 8.

Where are the Installstrips placed?

The answer to this question depends on your wall.

Each Standard Duty Installstrip is 90cm long and can be broken into 3 sections each 30cm in length. This is in line with the height of a Standard Duty panel which is 304mm (30.4cm).

Each Heavy Duty Installstrip is 114cm long and can be broken into 3 sections each 38cm in length. This is in line with the height of a Heavy Duty panel which is 381mm (38cm).

You should aim to have 3 points of connection along a 1219mm panel and 6 points of connection along each 2438mm panel. These points of connection will include 1 at the start, one at the end, and one or more in the middle. See images on this page as examples.

StoreWALL Installstrip Installation

When installing on a studded wall you might need to adjust the number of installstrips to suite the actual number of studs on your wall. Sometimes this means you might only find 5 studs along the length and therefore only have 5 points of connection.

You can add additional installstrips if you want/need to by using these screw-in anchors. They are not as strong as an actual stud but can assist where required.

How many screws/nails will I need?

If you are installing on a plastered or gyprock wall, you will need screws to secure the Installstrip to the studs behind your wall. Each Standard Duty Installstrips requires 12 screws. Our Heady Duty Installstrips require 16 screws. We recommend that you use all of the available screw holes.

If you are installing on a brick or concrete wall, we prefer to use Nail Anchor fasteners instead of screws. See the picture below. The quantity needed is the same as the screw example above.

What if I don’t want to use Installstrips?

All of our panels can be installed directly with screws through the panel. You will drill through the groove section of the panel and into the stud of your wall or into your brick wall. We offer colour screw options to assist with blending the colour of the screw and the colour of your wall panels.

How are delivery charges calculated?

Couriers charge delivery based on the size, weight, and overall volume of each package. They then have surcharges based on your location, the weight of your package and its overall size.

At StoreWALL, we charge delivery based on the value of your order, the type of item you have ordered (ie its size), and your location (Metro Vs non-Metro).

To give you an example, a carton of 4 x 2438mm panels weighs 20.5kgs, and has the following dimensions 250mm x 34mm x 8mm. Typical delivery charges per carton are about $60 to a Metro location in most states. If you ordered 2 cartons, our delivery charge to you the customer for a metro location is about $60. Our cost to fulfill this delivery is about $120.

We typically aim to have the customer pay about 50% of the actual value of the delivery charge.

For smaller items, it’s a little more complicated as there are so many different combinations of accessories that could make up your order. The max you are likely to pay in delivery for these items is $32 (Perth). The advantage for these smaller (Metro) item orders is that if the total value of the order exceeds approx $500, free shipping applies. Over the past few months we have been constantly reviewing our charges and reducing them where we can.

For Melbourne-based customers, we also offer free pickup which obviously means you can avoid all delivery charges.

Every few months we do run special offers where you can enjoy free shipping based on your total spend reaching a certain level (this includes order for wall panels and larger items). Sign up to our newsletter to get access to these special offers.

My garage wall has dampness coming through, can StoreWALL help?

StoreWALL can be installed on brick work, block work, concrete, bare studded (metal and wood) and plastered walls.

Our Installstrips are made from industrial grade galvanized steel and can be screwed onto your wall. The panels will then hang off the installstrips. These installstrips will not rust nor change shape due to the moisture on your wall.

I have had installstrips sitting outside exposed to the elements for more than 3 years and they have not rusted nor change shape in any way.

Our wall panels are made from hardened PVC. They are 100% water restistant. They also will not be impacted by moisture on your wall.

Does StoreWALL sell shelving?

Yes we do, but we do not sell your metal rack shelving which is offered by Bunnings and many other online retailers.

All of StoreWALL’s shelving is designed to be fitted to our Garage Wall Panels either directly or via our metal brackets.

StoreWALL offers both metal and metal wire shelving.

We also sell a range of heavy duty brackets which can be added to your wall panels along with our floating shelves. These brackets come in both 254mm and 381mm depths. You can also replace our metal and plastic floating shelving with your own (ie made from MDF) which you can purchase and have cut by your local hardware store.

Our brackets come with non slip stickers and plastic blugs to help secure the brackets to the shelving. In the main, the non-slip stickers will however be enough.

Many customers use our shelving solution to run a long shelf along the entire length of their wall, usually up high and out of the way.

What is CamLok and why is it important?

StoreWALL’s wall panel solution is deisgned around allowing you to hang almost anything in your garage on your wall. This includes the longest and the more heaviest items.

In order to do this, we put a lot of work in the design of our equipment, both the wall panels and the accessories.

The strength of our wall panels system is distributed across both our panels and our accessories. Our panels are supported by our Metal Installstrips which are screwed to your wall and hold the panels. 12 screws are used for each SD Installstrip and 14 screws for each HD Installstrip.

This is backed up by the strength of our accessories. They are all made from heavy duty metal and they all (90%) of themcoe with CamLok our superior and patented locking mechanism. This locking mechanism secures the accessory to the wall and ensures it does not move no matter how many times you add or remove your item from the wall.

Not only does it protect the item hangin on your wall, it also protects your car and anything else standing below it.

Unlike most other accessory styles on the market, CamLok does not use claws to grab and hold onto the panel. Our swivel lock is made from metal and with a simple twist of your screw driver locks that accessory in place for you.

No other solution on the market offers something close to this.

You can read more about CamLok here.

Do you have examples of StoreWALL installations that I can view?

We have tons of StoreWALL examples that you can viiew. Our Garage Gallery is filled with photos of installations that we have completed in Melbourne and many of our customers have completed themselves around Australia. This link will prvovide you with access to our Garage Gallery.

Furthermore, samples of our panels can be purchased and shipped to you so that you can evaluate the colour and form of the panel for your garage project. You will find these samples in our online store under the category of Panels.

Do I need to panel my entire garage wall?

How much of your garage wall you install panels on is dependant on your budget. Some customers will panel and entire wall, whilst other will only panel part of it.

I typically recommend that you panel from waste height and up just over your head. This provides an area with easy access for your items whether they be store on a shelf or just hung on the wall.

Visit our Garage Gallery for installation ideas.

What are the key differences between StoreWALL’s Wall Panels and others?

StoreWALL’s panels are larger and wider than many of the “Wall Rails” sold by retailers such as Bunnings. The dimensions of our Standard Duty panels are 304.8mm in height and 1219mm/2438mm in length. Panel thickness is 16.7mm. Our Heavy Duty panels are 381mm in height and 1219mm in length. Panel thickness is 17.7mm.

Our wall panels are made from hardened PVC and so they are water and dustproof.

StoreWALL’s Wall Panels are typically installed with our galvanised metal Installstrips. This removes the need to screw through the panel itself as much of the weight is carried by the installstrip not the screw. Your walls will therefore not have messy screws showing from the outside.

Each installstrip will require a minimum 12 screws or nails to fasten it to your wall.

The wall panel grouves on which your accessories are placed have squared edges instead of being rounded. The square edges grip your accessories better and firmer. This provides added protection for your stored items.

StoreWALL’s range of wall panel colours is extensive and growing. Almost all of our panels (ex Graphite Steel) have the colour running right through the panel, so should you dent or scratch the panel, you will always see the same colour inside it.

Our colour range includes:

Standard Duty

  • Brite White
  • Weathered Grey
  • Barnwood Grey
  • Whitewood
  • Black
  • Rustic Cedar
  • Graphite Steel

Heavy Duty

  • Brite White
  • Weathered Grey
  • Global Pine

StoreWALL offers both a Standard and Heavy Duty Panel. Our Heavy Duty range is larger and thicker than any other panel on the market (both in Australia and the US).
